Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

It happens. Teresa spun my beloved '97 Chevy K2500 into a tree while we were engaged. Married her anyway (still have the pickup, too).

Mom crashed Dad's '62 Pontiac Catalina Super Duty a week after he had gotten it repainted, and about six months after they were married. They're coming up on 48 years together. Sadly he sold that car in '70, because they're in the mid six figures today.

Had a buddy that REALLY wanted a 'vette. Couldn't afford one, but he really wanted one. So, he bought a chassis somewhere, a run out engine, part here, part there. Repaired, rebuild, assembled... Finally got it done - it lasted one week before he lost control and put it into a utility pole.

I used to know a couple when I was racing in SCCA. He was a national level showroom stock competitor, and while they were dating she became interested so he got her started racing in his car. After one particular regional race in which some metal-to-metal arguments occurred over who was supposed to be in front, she drove back into the paddock in a rather battered racecar. He walked around the car, quietly looking at the damage and shaking his head. Then he took a deep breath and walked around again, still not saying a word. Finally, after a third silent walk-around, he looked at her and said, "Will you marry me? Because you're getting to be a really expensive date!"

(She said yes.)

I have a friend who's wife convinced him to let her run his Porsche Supercup car for an SCCA race at Mid Ohio. She made a major mistake of lifting at the crest of turn 8. A mistake in any car but a major one in a rear engined platform. Yup...she backed it right in to the Armco barrier on the outside at exit. They remained married. LOL He knew it was a risk for damage regardless of who was driving and he was willing to take the risk.

I assume she had posted a bond before the race.....

Beef tartare… just VERY poorly cut.. cut it into hamburger consistency, add a raw egg yolk and diced chive, mix, and eat as a spread on saltine crackers. (In the Dakota regions I think they use onions instead of chives and it goes by the slang term of “tiger meat”).
Where I was in MN they called it “cannibal.”

A woman cheated on her husband. Afterwards, she regretted it and prayed, asking that her husband would never find out and promising to stop cheating if he never discovered her affair.

God finally relented and said He would honor her request, on the condition that at some point in the future, she would die of drowning.

After some thought, the woman agreed and life went on. Her husband didn't find out about her affair, and eventually, she forgot about her promise and started cheating again.

Her husband still didn't find out and one day, she decided to go on a cruise with her current sidepiece. A few days into the cruise, she wakes up to an extremely loud "BANG" and the ship begins to sink.

Horrified, the woman remembers her prayer and promise and cries, "Are you really going to kill all these innocent people on this ship just because of me?"

"Innocent? Are you kidding?" God replies. "I spent years getting all you cheaters together on this one boat!"

Way too obscure, and I even have sets of RCA cables saved in my cable box, just in case.

I still have them in use. They missed the threaded single wire tv antenna plugs I also still use. (I think I actually still have an adapter for those to the forked connectors for old vhf/uhf optioned black and white tvs in a junk draw somewhere).
