Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

Plain Escorts were lackluster, but the GT's were fun and fast. My 83 went over a hundred in 4th, continued accelerating in 5th. Great commuter, mix of city, and 3 hour country trips. 15 inch alloys with H rated tires cornered as well as my Porsche, but better gas mileage, with sequential port injection and tuned SS headers from the factory.

I was stationed in the UK in the late 90s/early 2000. The Escort Cosworth was an amazing little hatch. I never got to own one, but did get to drive one a few times. The giggle factor was quite high in the roundabouts.

Hindsight being 20/20, i should have bought any of them that I could and paid to have stored them. They’re worth a bundle now.

That said, I’d love to find a standard US spec Escort in the condition of Skychaser’s meme. They were easily tuned to be a fun and capable little car.
