Daily Pic

Not much, but super excited. Flew the plane to KFFZ for an avionics upgrade in November, and it's been atrocious ever since. New mechanic has fixed all the issues created by the original installer, and more, as of Monday. Feels like I've got a totally new plane. Absolutely thrilled.

After two weeks, had to knock some rust off the yokes. No picture since the new site says it is too large. You’ll have to close eyes and imagine a plane sitting in some grass.
I noticed since the new software that if I try to post picture from my phone it says it is too big. I do use a picture hosting site that resizes them so then they post. But I do miss posting pictures from my phone or tablet.

I may have posted this one already? That is the moon coming up and almost looks like the sun as I put my sun glasses back on this evening for a bit.

Tried to upload a photo to share but image to large still, from an iphone.
Are there GA forums that allow easier sharing of photos?

Sunrise heading home

Left early to avoid crazy high winds that were to start in the morning and get worse. Was interesting to watch the barometer drop with each subsequent FF handoff heading north. At 7500', my speed varied between 85knts and 120 and heading changed 20 deg to stay on course over NY and CT. Very smooth though, no turbulence. Decided to scrub landing at home due to G20-25 crosswinds when I got there. Headed to Pease since the runway was pretty well aligned with the winds. Was still "interesting" to land there.

It's a dry heat

Here for Great Divide and Pat Green in Marble Falls tomorrow night. Climbing Enchanted Rock first thing in the morning; suffering from schnitzel overload at the moment.

Dang. Literally an hour from our place. Pro tip: E Rock parking will likely close before 9a, another early day is in order; the parking situation is limited to say the best about it and once it fills up, somebody has to leave for somebody to get it.

After summiting, there’s a great shaved ice trailer at the base.
