To beat the "low wing in the way of pictures" dead horse, which do you prefer. A or B? I kinda like A with the reflection on the wing.
Wait why would you own a plane if you're not going to have wings or struts in pictures you take while flying so you can assert your pilot dominance to your friends?

When you fly a Lance, the nose is in the way more than the wing. That and glare on the plexi.

Furry hitchhiker on his way to California. I’m getting him as far as KIOW.

The lighting on the strut is much better in the 3rd and 4th photo which indicates improvement in your photography. I, for one, am proud of your continuing effort to improve.

I flew into my favorite "short" field last night looking for pears from my favorite pear trees.
IMG_3178.JPG

Last year this pear tree still had some fruit left on it in Sept. This year there is no fruit at all that I could see.

I was only joking about the short field above. My buddy says he could land a 737 here. It is so long it is almost boring landing here.

I recently finished testing at gross weight and near the aft CG limit, so I pulled the ballast out and had a fun flight today.

^ Pic that represents my interpretation of the unusual attitude being established by my CFI while I'm wearing foggles and have my eyes closed.

Took the rent-a-wreck Cessna up for a little National Aviation Day flight. Had to turn the alternator off every time I wanted to transmit because it was making so much noise in the radio. This thing really makes me appreciate my plane.

Was out time building with cfi getting ready for doing flight review stuff. We cut through CVG Bravo VFR and stopped at Sportys haven’t been there before. Picked up the CAX oral exam prep book and got some hotdogs for lunch. Which I totally forgot they do on Saturdays at noon

Cool that you are staying current in a 172. Funky paint job, I’d still fly it.
Believe me, it looks worse in person; painted with a brush 40 years ago. It's a good flying airplane, but the paint & panel are really terrible.

Yeah this grass runway was really well lit!

IMG_6169.jpeg
At 2200’, this might be the shortest runway I’ve taken the 170 into. Dragging it in with no obstacles, I probably only really needed 1100’.

I was just about to cross into Ohio cooking back from Maine . Not quite 41 knots but pretty close

Wow bummer. I have only seen 41 kts once and it was a tailwind!
My buddy saw that as a headwind in his Cherokee 140 last year, he now owns a arrow pa28r 200! Lol

What airplane is your panel in?
Piper Lance

The wind literally started dying down at the Indiana border. Ohio hates me.

Your panel looks nice with the G5 custom cut into the panel.
My buddy was wondering how his would look with 2 G5 in his arrow. Is yours close to arrow in appearance?
Yes, most PA28 and PA32 panels are similar until you get to the more modern ones.

You gotta tack into the wind. Or something. @kaiser can explain it.
Haha - Upwind sailing is the worst. But I was going to say, fly it at 1000 AGL. What were winds there? probably less than 40.

I was above the clouds and wanted to stay there. Too bumpy down below.
