The legend

On final to Dillingham (PHDH)
NE corner near Turtle Bay resort
Diamondhead and Waikiki in the distance, PHNL in the middle, Pearl Harbor in the foreground.
There was absolutely zero pre-planning because I’m an agent of chaos and that’s how I roll… I had no idea this was the plane until we were putting it away and the CFI casually mentioned it.That's cool that you wound up flying that plane. Did you seek it out or just happen to remember the tail number? I completely forgot about that story.
not during the flightdid you get..........wait for it...........leid?
Overpressure relief valve vent for the steam gauges.Ah, so those boomerang thingies on older steam gauge Mooneys are smokestacks. Who knew?
Great pic! I want to do this some time. Is this taken while you were in R-518? Any tips for the trip?View attachment 131845
Quick trip to Niagara Falls
That's a very fast camera drone you have, flying in close formation with it must require skillMade it back home from Oshkosh at 12:30 this morning. Lots of deviating around storms, but not too badView attachment 131877
1st time at the flight levels. Almost felt like that 1st solo. It's corny but I had been waiting for this day when I set that 29.92 for the 1st time.
Busiest week for me ever. 30 hrs at my day job then logged 29.6 hrs of flying 4 different birds.
I still remember my first time up there. Drinking from the fire hose with my instructor at 220KTAS up past FL200, first flight in the C414A, got my hand slapped for preferring to disengage the A/P in favor of hand flying. Gets a bit twitchy up there...thin air and all. Now after a lot more time in the flight levels I really appreciate the anti-fatigue effects of the A/P. Fun times, enjoy them!
If you can, post details and pics of your travels! That's a great flight.I can appreciate that. ha
I am getting ready to fly a C177B from S CA to S IL with a friend of mine. No A/P in that thing. It should be fun.
It's almost like being there! (I missed it this year, too)View attachment 131921

Mother has grounded me all week.just another day in the hood, with the woman keepin' us down

Passed my IR checkride a week ago, and took my first solo flight into IMC yesterday morning, a short round robin flight from KSTC to KPEX.
Officially signed off on and insured in the M350. That was fun. I'm going to hate flying my C150 from now on.
