Southeast PoA [Pre Xmas Burgers] - GMU

Very sorry I won't be making this. Saturday I will be flogging a C414A from Bozeman, MT to Destin, FL. I like the looks of the weather at GMU much more than that at KBZN. Next time for sure.

Someone take Dave up on his offer so he'll have to come.

Still have a seat from the Raleigh / Sanford area.

FYI...

Just called Runway Cafe and they will put us in the conference room.. They have us down for 28 ppl in all.. Someone already beat me to the punch. Whomever it was thank you..
 
Sorry but gotta back out. Had a failure of one of my hydraulic radiant floor/ceiling pipes. Long story short, water in the house and 1/6 of the house no longer heated until I can get it fixed.

Was really looking forward to it and the wx was looking good. Hopefully next time. Ya'll have fun.

Just leaving the hangar now.

With morning temps in the 20’s, I...

Put blanket over the cowling with a 100W trouble lamp under it.

Focused a floodlamp on the lithium iron battery.

Turned on a space heater.

Probably be warm enough by our 10:30A departure time, but wanted to be sure.

I'm iffy now - found out tonight my reserved plane is still in the avionics shop. I have a replacement, but my memory is that this one needs to go into the avionics shop because the transponder doesn't work. Won't know until the morning.
 
Someone mentioned putting a piece of paper in our planes with our PoA username. Are we doing that or?

Yup, the transponder is still broke, it transmits random numbers. Not going to make it. I suppose I could make some calls and make it in, but better to not push.
