Post aicraft pictures in this thread.
We definitely have some pros on this board, and I'm sure there are a lot of enthusiasts as well.
Doesn't have to be your aicraft, but it must be a picture you took. Can be only a part of the aircraft, emphasizing a specific detail, but it must still be recognizable as an aircraft. Planes, helicopters, gliders, balloons, gyrocopters, all count. Rockets spend a portion of their brief career in the atmosphere, so they count, too. Parachutes are also allowed.
Feel free to share a short description of the shot and why you chose it. Equipment description is optional.
One picture per post and no consecutive posts. Also, try to not one-up the previous post. This is not a competition, more of a showcase and inspiration for other people.

My opening contribution. USAF Heritage Flight at OSH '22 during the Wed evening airshow. The sunset colors were stunning and it added a lot to the significance of the flight. Straight out of the camera, Canon SL2, 18-135 USM lens20240302_105640.jpg

So, a spin off of the long running “Daily Pic” thread? :)

Took this the morning I was hauling from where stored to my place in Gulf Shores.

My son lives on this property… and came over 5 minutes later…

Show off…

Just an awful beautiful morning! This plane is nearing completion, looking forward to posting a pic of sunrise from the cockpit.

Taken in the middle of the Carson national forest. Would get a daily flyover. The 3 am fighter jet low pass is a wake up call I didn't mind. Wake up yelling WTF as loud as I could and still couldn't hear myself.

Some of the C-47s assembling at Waterbury-Oxford preparing to cross the pond for the D-Day anniversary commemoration.

I took this on our last flight together in 86F before we sold it. The zoom says it all.

2012 at NAS Oceana - One of the last times (if I recall right) when an F-4 was seen at a public demonstration. This one was on its way to be converted to a QF-4. Also, one of the earliest examples of what became the USAF Heritage Flight.

Saw 494 6 years earlier at Andrews AFB. Not the best pics but had a nice paint scheme.
