O360.... Squeeze out more power?

Have you tried running jet fuel through it? I hear it adds at least 10 knots.

But............... Will it go 110 MPH on the interstate.........:D

Pretty much anything will. Now a days you might have to flash a chip, but yeah. When I was Shuttle Driving for Hertz for a while in the mid 80s, one time one of the drivers got busted at 110 in a Renault Alliance, went to jail, car impounded.... The City Manager was dumbfounded, "We have cars that go 110?" All the rest of the driver crew answered up, "They all do." you had to time yourself between mile poles back then because there was no GPS and speedometers topped out at 85.

apparently you can do it if you live in New Jersey. Doesn't seem like they got the HP boost you were expecting.

HAMILTON, N.J. (AP) — Officials say aviation fuel was pumped into cars after it was mistakenly delivered to three New Jersey gas stations.

Authorities closed a station in Lawrence, and two in Hamilton after the error was discovered.

Mercer County spokeswoman Julie Willmot tells The Times of Trenton (http://bit.ly/YWcquW ) the stations will remain closed until all underground storage tanks, lines and filters are emptied and cleaned.

State officials are investigating how the mistake happened.

Several cars stalled on Friday when a gas station in Keyport and one in Manasquan unknowingly pumped jet fuel into their tanks.

All those drivers were like, wow, my car is really peppy now.

Well, you can increase your gasoline burning engine output by adding kerosene into the fuel mix, you will increase the caloric value. The trick is just how much kero you can add before the power produced exceeds the engine's ability to absorb it; this becomes more critical when you figure that we still will be turning 73% of the energy available into waste heat. This means you get CHT critical rapidly as you add more calories than you turn into work. When you start playing with fuel components to add energy, it is best you approach it from the LOP side and do it carefully, fuel blending is tricky business.

Henning, I agree with you on the Excursion, but not on the diesel part. They cost way more to buy and with diesel at an extra $1/gallon, just doesn't make financial sense. I miss my V10 gasser Excursion I used to have and probably shouldn't have sold it, but oh well.

I've owned four Excursions (two of those diesel), the one I have now is a 4X4 V-10. It is the ultimate machine for towing and hauling a bunch of people and stuff.

Yes and something you never ever approach from LOP side :)
Fuel blending is done by finding the rich misfire point, then lean misfire point, then measuring cylinder pressure distortion when we approach stoich point from the rich side, until we confirm the ignition angle we can run it with stoich mixture.

I will sum all that up in one word.....

Detonation.......
