The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
Would it mean a certain Navy and White B757 gets mothballed?

He has a Citation X and 3 S-76B's too. Not sure what they would do with them.

Moth ball their 757s but keep their 747s (VC-25s)?

Or Bernies 35 seat ER135LR?

I heard somewhere that each president gets a new plane and new crew. But do not take my word for it, I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the source. Heck, why am I even posting this? :)
Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Trump has businesses, correct? I assume the 757 and other airplanes would simply be used in those businesses.

And then he is impeached in a year or 2 for incompetence, he can again use those airplanes.

Doesn't work that way...He can only be impeached for breaking the law... As far as I know, being stupid still isn't illegal... If it were the current POTUS would be making pebbles from bolders....

The question is, will it be "Air Force Trump" or "Trump Force One"?

The current one should have been removed for incompetence seven years ago.

What happens to his business if he is elected? He can't have any part of them right?

Interesting question. And how dependent is Trump Worldwide dependent on him being always at the helm? If he is elected, I don't want him splitting his time between running the country and running his biz empire. I realize he has his division presidents and VPs and such, but some of that ongoing success is because he contributes in some important way.

Good to see there isn't any political commentary on PoA.

Trump's kids have been groomed for years to take over the business. I assume that he would officially step away from the business if elected, and the business would retain the aircraft.

It's all about the airplanes,no politics on this post.

Speaking of which, there's a program from Discovery or similar channel which profiles Trump's 757. I think it's out there (perhaps unofficially) on YouTube.

Aaaand... Bernies 35+ pax jet just goes under the radar lol

Campaigning for office requires candidates to make multiple stops in more than one state at times. Nothing wrong w/ what Sanders is using, or Hillary, or Trump, or Cruz (when he was still in it), etc etc. Campaign funds handle the cost.

We had to depart early one night out of Panama City FL because Bob Dole was on his way back to the airport to depart on his chartered 727, actually 2 of them, parked almost next to us on the ramp. They close the airspace within a certain distance when these politicians fly. BTW we made it out but one of our inbound flights had to hold out until Dole & Co departed.

If only incompetence were an impeachable offense, we'd be much better off right now.

He's already made it very clear his kids will take over and run the businesses.

Nice as Don's 757 is, it's missing the comms that the sitting President really requires, especially when leaving the US.

Perhaps, if we're going to stick with the VC25 he can commission a designer to come up with a new paint job. Much as I am a inveterate Raymond Loewy fan, that design, timeless as it is, looks stupid on the 747 in my opinion. After 55+ years, it could use some change.

I think he gets a Bonanza. Or PC-12. Aren't those the 2 planes that are always suggested when someone asks which plane to get? :)

.

Not to mention the defensive systems onboard and other classified items.
