Getting ready to line up and wait?

I lined up and waited today. No big deal!! KHPN even had "Line up and Wait terminology is now in effect" on the ATIS.

Every tower has been directed to carry that advisory on their ATIS for 30 days.

"Taxi into position and Hold" was replaced with "Position and Hold" years ago, there's nothing shared with taxi clearances.

I know that, but "taxi into position and hold" is the verbatim instruction I was given a few days ago.

So your message was about an error in phraseology, not the change in phraseology?
