The FAA does require a pilot to be familiar with all available information, but I don’t think they mean from 2009.Or should I chuck it? Can’t see that they are around anymore; my last update was 2009. I guess redundant with other sources, but had useful stuff in it.
Yeah, I miss all of the extra information those Flight Guides provided. They let you know if there was a courtesy car on the field, the distance to local hotels and their phone numbers, how far it was to restaurants and cafes and all of the businesses on the field. There is no single source for all of that information any more. It's a shame. One of the electronic flight bags should partner with them to see if the data could be recreated and maintained for the tablets we all fly with these days. I'd pay extra for that!
