Simple Blackberry app for VFR flights

you could try an open source tablet, i.e. something you could load Ubuntu or something similar on - however the problem then becomes dedicated support and available apps. You can always get a soft touch bluetooth keyboard for an iPad. I like the tactile feel as well.

Simple Blackberry app for VFR flights

Kicking Myself over this - C182P

I was wondering about that - makes sense that you could simply reorganize the instruments - however based on the wiring in a few classic cars I have I suppose some of that would need to be redone too. Otherwise aircraft age doesn't bother me.

    Cleared into Bravo?

Until something happens and everyone sits down and listens to tapes and then the FAA asks, "Pilot, why didn't you clarify if you were cleared into he Bravo?" Of course ATC would be at fault for not saying it initially, but to me it's semantics. If Mr. owner of the Bravo airspace is going to...

Kicking Myself over this - C182P

looks good, I'm just not a fan of the pre six pack "throw the gauges on the dash where they stick" approach. But I'm also a poor non profit that will have to take whatever they can get (if I can ever get).

Military Blimp Breaks Mooring in Maryland

"The blimp was spotted over Bloomsburg, Pa. dragging its 6,700-foot cable. The cable reportedly damaged area infrastructure and caused sporadic power outages." and here I am worrying about flying animals in a plane:rofl:

    Highest altitude cell/4g will work?

I just switched to AT&T and was astonished to still see reception up to 5500. never had that with VZW. Now, I don't normally use my phone, but happened to notice as I went to put it in airplane mode to not kill the battery trying to get reception.

Kicking Myself over this - C182P

This. I'm looking for an animal rescue aircraft. Animals don't care about aesthetics and neither do I.

    Cleared into Bravo?

I assume nothing with airspace - many times I've had controllers give me a flight following at altitude without actually saying I was cleared into the Bravo. When this occurs, before I hit the airspace I call back and clarify the instructions; since everything is recorded I want it on record in...

    First Week of Airline Experience

What is the reasoning behind that? In the regular business world I get it - but to fly a sophisticated aircraft an aptitude test seems more fitting then a degree :dunno:

    450nm solo cross-country little excited..

Break it down into comfortable legs, along with plenty of "what if" scenarios. I've done so much crosswind work that no longer bothers me, in fact I rather enjoy it now for the extra practice - however what is always in my mind is unexpected engine failure. Thusly plan for a decent altitude...

When to do runup (ex. During fly-ins)

Exactly, I always pull off before the runway threshold or pull over and angle to avoid any traffic behind me. I don't see how you can truly do all the run up steps while the aircraft is moving.
