Would you buy this desk?

That is an optional accessory that you must purchase separately. Does not mean the desk itself isn't good.

It lacks an AOA indicator.

Could it be that it both has a lack of a vanity plate, and a book on Marilyn Monroe?

They're going for the quirky market...

The desk is OK. I wouldn't let the book(s) stop me from buying it if I wanted it.

It's my OCD. You think they did that deliberately? I just want to reach in there and turn it around.

I went ahead and ordered it. No vanity panel is fine with me, I hate them anyway. I want open access to the back because of all my computer cables. It's for our temporary apartment while the house gets put back together.

Two books upside down, the keyboard isn't plugged into the computer, and it's 47" from the floor to the table top. Means you have to sit on a barstool cut to a custom height to use it.

Probably going for the "standing desk" crowd. It's popular these days. About 1/8 of our desk workers at the office stand all day now. One has a treadmill and writes code while he's walking on it.

Guess it has about a 40 wavelength antenna hanging off the back side of it running off the desk then....
I don't have a visible antenna on the back. I would be more concerned that the computer isn't plugged in. But it's just a display so who cares.

Does that help the end product any or still have code issues?

LOL... I haven't seen anyplace without code issues, yet... so I'm going to guess that a standing desk doesn't fix that.

The treadmill desk, probably just helps keep him alive longer after he retires. Maybe. Jury is still out on that one.

I just sent this to our dev team as a joke ...

Huh? Where do you get that?

It's not a desk, it's a table. Desks have at least one drawer.

looks like it might be wobbly. no way to assess til it arrives.
Many have a brace in the rear.

No. I'm not big on "modern."

it has secret passage ways.

I am a fan of the simple sturdy flat surface desk. The little shelves/platforms/organizers never end up being useful and just get in the way in my experience.

I don't like the brace in the rear. It gets in the way of my UPS, etc., and the stool for my feet. But I am alert to weak design, this particular one gets good reviews and one guy even made a YouTube video of it. It's got adjustable things on the feet.

But the '0.98" thicking board' is concerning. Engrish isn't a good sign for quality design.

Yes when product descriptions stray miles from good English, it makes me worry.

I love that old stuff too. But when I'm actually working....

I find this to be true.

Well it came and I love it. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. I got the short one because I thought I was going to have to squeeze it into the bedroom because that's where they put the router, but I found a cat 5 jack right here in the dining room so set it up here. If I'd known that I would have gotten the long one, but this will do.
