Thanks for checking in, Don. I still plan to bother you for a couple hours, one of these days. Yes the website was worrisome but as long as you are still at it, that's all that matters!

Firewall built and installed

Fuel tanks under construction had one in good shape and form till the tig weld blew gigantic holes…. Practice scrap gas tank coming along slowly, holes multiplying regularly

Lycoming 0235 engine under construction
Metal fittings built
Instrument boards under construction
Fitting and alignment holes in progress
Trial fit, when I get me that hanger
Trailer to get it to the hanger built
Instruments some acquired functionality remains a questionable
Controls not built among many other things
Progress pictures, builders log book behind schedule
Registration paperwork been in my briefcase for months, no progress yet
Learning to tig weld 032 aluminum, priceless!

Total progress 60% complete and 90% to go
 
Looks great. I'm fairly busy this weekend with family - but would love to see it sometime soon.

I had the plane painted at Abbott Aviation, Aurora, NE.
 
I'm having a difficult time getting motivated again to resume work on the A-Plane. Can't put my finger on it, but it might have something to do with a totally trashed out garage.

Staying motivated is a huge deal! Start by committing to clean off the work bench and put away all the tools. Then commit at least 5 mins a day in the shop, even if it is just to look at the plans. Once I got started I was amazed at what I perceived as a huge project was an hour of work. Now that the weather is nice get after it! :D

You deserve the compliments! It's a great looking plane.

If you're looking to do a day trip, the local EAA chapter has a potluck/meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month. You ought to bring it up here and show it off.
 
I started building a chicken coop today from scratch sans plans. Definitely experimental. Does that count? :D

The shade of red may be debatable, but it does display the "N" for nowledge, in proper Husker fashion...

Alright! You have done a great looking job.

There is something about flying such simple aircraft with minimal instrumentation that just can't be had in the much more complicated modern craft.
