How cold is it in ND right now? We were below 0F all day here today. Supposed to be 51 Thursday.I did an aviation today. North Dakota to Dallas, 930 nm, 5.1 hours, fuel stops are for the birds. I even caught my commercial flight at DFW, back to ND. People at work tomorrow will be all “What did you do this weekend?” And I’ll be all “I went to supper in Texas.”
Don’t judge me that supper was TGI Friday’s at the airport. I don’t like cutting it close with airport security.
Yesterday the high was -5F. It was about 15F when I took off and I think it hit 30F. December has ranged from -15 to 50 so far, and we are just getting started. (I’m in the warmer end of the state. Grand Forks uses the Kelvin scale during the winter to keep from needing large negative numbers.)How cold is it in ND right now? We were below 0F all day here today. Supposed to be 51 Thursday.
Fast! I was in the 310, so about 175 knots plus a good 20-knot tailwind all the way. What did you get to fly from ND to TX?
I feel like that's akin to me saying I'm in the less corrupt end of IllinoisI’m in the warmer end of the state.

Locked out. We ended up 3 hours lateWere you locked out - or in?
They say after 48 hours with something like this leads go cold and odds of success shrink. And in today's news...
A 18 wheeler was hijacked today off I-40, carrying a large shipment of Viagra.
The police are looking for a gang of hardened criminals.
Gonna disagree on the pancake maker. I have yet to see one that will make a pancake that couldn't double as shoe leather. They make up for it with the waffle maker and belt machine pancake maker. How cool it would be to have those in your own house. And the look on your wife’s face when she opens it as her B Day present!
I don’t know about google but some search engines automatically select safe for work mode so kids get ducks and not whatever you are thinking aboutis the internet broken??
so I have this buddy who has a birthday today (he's pretty fkng old) and I wanted to search for dirty disgusting birthday memes that would put a smile on his face but I was having trouble getting results from google. it used to be you could search for just about anything and half of the results would be garbage trash (you know, exactly the stuff I'm looking for), now I'm looking for specific stuff and can't find ANY of it! WTF is wrong with the internet??!??? for example, now when I search for duckface I'm actually getting ducks faces as the results. wasn't long ago the result set would be VASTLY different. what gives????!!!??
I don't know about universally. One hotel had one in good condition akin to what you'd get a Williams Sonoma. Granted, the hotel was not much more than a B&B. Another had a conveyor belt and it worked pretty well. Perhaps the ones that you've used were old and worn out?Why are hotel toasters universally lousy?
Because folks wash their socks and under britches in the coffee maker, then dry them with the toaster. Why are hotel toasters universally lousy?
Let us know what hotels you frequent.....Because folks wash their socks and under britches in the coffee maker, then dry them with the toaster.
Really.
Usually the ones that let pilots stay there...Let us know what hotels you frequent.....
So……. That might also explain the Fruit of the Loom ambience of FBO coffee …..Usually the ones that let pilots stay there...
The trick is to leave the girls and the bottles in the car until you get the room key. Then, make sure you have a bag for the bottles and jackets for the girls, and be very very quiet while walking past the front desk.Usually the ones that let pilots stay there...
oh man you should totally re-route their flight plan thru the bravo and put it back in the copier! At work (a non-aviation place of business), it's not uncommon for people to forget their printouts in the copy room. Somebody left a few clippings of a VFR sectional along with an XC log. I suspect that this is actually a humble-brag.
I know you wanted to cover a lot of options so I need to help you out with an important one that you missed.Options:
Hit it in the butt,
Hit it while it was in cruise,
Hit it on its departure,
Hit it while it was circling.
