Sounds like this guy did pull, probably low. Could be many reasons for this. I hope he comes through this ok.

He was trying hard to make rwy 30 and needed to be about 700 feet higher turning base. That last ADSB ping showing 36 kts says it all. It looks like he started descending right over KMIT, which would have been a great choice. There's no LiveATC feed out here, so we have to wait for the rumor mill.

So, what are some potential causes of the loss of power, fuel, vapor lock, ? etc. would be good to hear some imput from Cirrus drivers as if anyone has experienced similar issues.

Guess we’ll get the determined cause in time but ran out of gas highly unlikely. He departed with 75 gal onboard.

Hopefully the airplane is intact enough to determine if something was wrong. My experience with them is hot problems are only an issue on start up. Once the engine smooths you are good.

Sounds like something was wrong with the engine. Not sure why he went to high boost after engine ran rough when turning off low boost. I still think he should have pulled when he got to 1,000 agl. Hopefully the plane had perspective with data logging.
