Difficult and reckless are not the same thing. Red Bull doesn't hire amateurs. A lot of focused practice went into making sure he could consistently fly the aircraft within the required parameters.

totally off topic but interesting that is a McDonnell Douglas, and has the MD11 wing, but the DC10 tailcone. I wonder how early in testing this was cause that’s not the final fuselage design shape for the tailcone

Any half decent pilot can do a low pass at 2 ft. straight down the centerline in zero wind conditions all day.
