I would like to use a website to share vacation pictures and allow others to upload their photos to the same album. Then if someone wants to DL or print out a picture they can.

Is that possible? Does everyone have to be a "member"?

I've used Picasa in the past, but now it wont work on my computer because Google has blocked me due to too many email addresses or something.

What sites do you use?

yeah, probably google drive now ... I used to recommend photobucket and still may, but google drive or drop box is just so much easier - but it's a file level share whereas photobucket lets people see the photos on the website in a presentation manager

Pictures of other people and places, right? I mean, you're not in any of them? :wink2:

My own server.

I'm not keen on putting them on a site where the site owner mines them and uses that to generate revenue. You are the product being sold.

Shutterfly (free) has worked great for me for maybe 10 years (Kodak sold to them), they have faithfully stored huge numbers of photos and I can easily (free) share any of the eg vacation albums with friends - and their attempts to sell me stuff has been inconspicuous. Well I did buy a mug or something from them and must say it was good quality.

We host our photos on smugmug. Same reason (share with family and friends), but I doubt anyone other than me and my wife has visited it! Actually, I'm not even sure she has either....

Just fire up your own server instance and drop Piwik on it. Err, I am sure there are easier ways but this way gives you the most control. I did it and discovered that everyone else uses Facebook. :)

Smugmug. Either that or use DropBox. They have a new photo sharing piece called "carousel" which is actually pretty cool.

I use Flickr. Nobody needs to be a member to view the photos. It's easy to upload (and integrated with iPhoto) and has a rudimentary editor built in.
