Unfortunately the writers and editors at Flying magazine forgot how to read time analog and aren't aware Cirrus has only 2 (not 3) piston models, I'm pretty sure the "parachute on the hour hand" was meant to say the "parachute is on the minute hand".. there are also three slots on the hour hand, but only two piston Cirrus models, the third slot must be for the Jet... sigh
 
Finally, a Cirrus product I can afford! I'm assuming that Breitling will offer a 10 year financing option though..

The Cirrus Emergency Watch would have a little parachute that pops out of it.

If you have to pull the chute do they give you a free watch ?
 
If you think the purchase cost is bad, wait until you have a Breitling serviced. For mine, it averages about $200/year if nothing is wrong.

The challenge is that they don't sell parts, so the local watch shop can't fix anything. The watch also requires a special wrench to open, so only the higher end local stores can replace the battery. So, a dead battery means a $200 service if you can't find a local high end watch repair place with the appropriate wrench.

Mine's a wedding gift from the wife. It is the gift that keeps on giving. But not in a good way.
 
The band is made from timed-out chutes.

I don't wear a watch. But if I ever want one, this will be it, rt after I buy the turbo version sr22 or whatever it is, before that I need to win a lotto

I like Cirrus. I like watches. I just don't like this. I do like that it's not a gaudy as some Breitlings. But it's small, and it's just a little.. meh. Not interesting enough for me I guess
 
It's a Quartz, that's like the watch eqilivent of a trike, so guess it makes sense lol
 
Several years ago while on a business trip to New York City, I bought a nice "Rolex" watch from a street vendor. Cost about $30 bucks and was actually a pretty good watch. I'm sure the street vendors will have the Breitling Cirrus edition soon.

Day-um son. I thought my Garmin wife-watch was bad bitchin’ at me to buy it Nav updates since it came with one last updated in October of last year! LOL.

Nav update subscriptions for a watch... YGBFKM Garmin. Get real.

The chances I’ll be down to navigating by my watch... to a NEW AIRPORT in this country... are approaching zero so hard we might as well express it in imaginary numbers...

If the thing didn’t do heart rate, I’d have already sold it. As it stands, it’s a really inaccurate $900 heart rate monitor that needs charging every three days.

Used to be every two days, they actually pushed an update that did something useful and lowered battery use. I was completely floored. Has to be a mistake.

My thoughts exactly, I always preferred Breitling to Rolex as they were a little less blingy, and I like their kind of esoteric look. I was hoping this Cirrus watch will be a little "cooler" than this, but other than the little plane symbol and the parachute it's not very unique. Someone mentioned making the band out of the parachute, I think their comment was tongue in cheek, but it may have been a cool idea to put actual Cirrus elements in the watch

Well, you can add the Breitling to your homeowners insurance, as covered jewelry. Probably not the Casio.

Otherwise, I can’t think of anything.
