Need to buy a ‘Surety bond’

For TX DOT (or maybe it’s TX DMV), highway oversize load.
Anyone ever done this, I have no idea how it works or why to buy from.

A business/commercial insurance broker should be able to handle that for you.

If you use a company to get the oversize permit, they may also be able to provide the bond. Your regular business insurance agent should be able to obtain it. The insurance co may give you grief if you dont have a CDL or some other 'proof' that you are able to read a clearance sign.

I was about to use an online entity recently but on a whim called a local insurance broker. I got the same product at half the price with twice the service. Just a thought.
