I've been on a two day hunt for a particular type of florescence of light bulb . I finally found one shop that carries them for $10 a piece, but this isn't what the thread is about.
I had a box of burned out bulbs that I needed to get rid of and thought "obviously a light bulb shop would take them". Well I was right, however, it cost me .85¢ a tube for a total of $5 with tax.
I have never come across paying to recycle something before. Is this a normal practice with bulbs?
