"just another 90 minutes," again & again & again. She has "90-minute'd" departure into late the next day.

Now; if she's not ready within a reasonable period, I simply go without her.

Welcome to the club. Mine also asked for a new outfit and boots just to let me down. It all changed when I added Viagra to my medical travelling bag. I told her that my MEI recommended it before flight to keep things straight and level. She said is not going to make any difference but she will come anyway to make sure I don't get into trouble flying outside the envelope.

The 'shorthand' lingo is questionable at best..

Doesn't the FBI check these things before they hire someone who probably makes more then the rest of us ?

We worked it out and all is merry again in DC. Were going to go flying for the day tomorrow, dinner with the family tomorrow night, and then try and go somewhere sunny (commercial) for friday - monday of new years weekend.

Thanks for everyone's input - good, bad, and funny. In the end - I think it was pretty entertaining. Luckily - she is the funniest person i know and handled this all pretty well. No need for anyone to be mean on here (including you schmoopy). Sorry if anyone got offended. I look forward to my continued addiction to the POA forum and when I finally meet some of you guys one day, we can have a good laugh about this debacle.

Glad I made the hit parade. Of course, if you take the whole thing in context, you'll see that in his initial post he made it sound like you'd already said "yes I'm going" without being sure you could actually go. On something as complicated and expensive as in international trip in a small plane, it's a good idea to not say "yes, I'm going" until you actually have the approved leave slip in hand. To do so is inconsiderate and not a good indicator for a happy life together.

And I suspected that perhaps The Duck hadn't heard what he thought he heard, hence my comments on communication (or lack thereof). Further postings made it clear that this was in fact what happened, thus I suggested he bag the Bahamas trip and you two do something nice together.

I'm a little disappointed in your lack of writing skills, and that you didn't read the entire thread first before jumping in. An intelligence analyst, (even in the FBI) is not supposed to go off half-cocked.

Merry Christmas. Hope you build up some leave this year and then you two can take a nice vacation somewhere.
