Monkey to Oshkosh and Beyond!

I've got a potential Monkey to Gastons scenario.

Our company has a charter to New Orleans on Monday thru Weds. Unfortunately, I'm not on it ( believe me, I tried). Turns out that my friend Ryan who is flying the trip, is friends with one of @EvilEagle 's F-15 drivers (Splinter). They plan on seeing each other on Tuesday. If they can pass the Monkey and get him back to Atlanta, we could then pass him on to @Lance F before he leaves for Gastons.

What do you think?

evil's gonna miss that thing.........

so if Lance (or mooney or whatever we're calling him these days) takes him to Gastons, who's taking him from there?

if I was y'all I'd hide all your Cross Country Monkey.

foookin A.

Well, it's either that or test the F15's grass field capability, so....

The Monkey is on the move, I was telling my wife about the monkey adventure, and where the monkey has been and who had him. She has never been to New Orleans and since we are going to Gaston's we decided why not go get him. After contacting Ben to make sure he would be around we loaded up on Thursday and flew down. We met Ben on Friday afternoon for the handoff. Needless to say the monkey wasn't real happy he wouldn't be flying f15's a 1.2 anymore.
Here is a picture of Ben explaining to Monkey he is going back to GA flying.

Here is the Monkey throwing a tantrum.

Once I explained what the plan was, and he would be going to Gaston's he settled down and was ready for more adventure.

Here we are at LakeFront airport boarding the plane getting ready for departure. The Monkey can't understand why we are taking the slowest plane on the field. (Damn Ben spoiled him)

Once air born he settle in for the flight back to Ft. Worth.

Here he is getting nervous as we reach the TX border, having flash backs of the parting with 6PC, don't worry I'm keeping away from the TX hoodlum's.

Wow, the monkey is looking rough! Hope he can hang in there for the rest of the adventures.

The monkey is keeping his eye on the weather, not looking good for those trying to get into Gaston's today. I hope tomorrow is better, that's our planned departure.

Is it just me or does the monkey appear a little worse for wear since he started this journey. I mean it looks like he has aged 10 years! How long can he keep up this pace? It might be necessary to stage an intervention at Gastons.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I think he might've gotten in the wash once or twice - filthy monkey!

Actually he just finished his first cirrus flight

We tried to get the monkey a powered parachute ride but we couldn't find anyone willing to fly with him.

Ahhh. didn't occur to me. I forgot. Really. I think about that handle far less than everyone else apparently.
It is as significant to me as a first aid kit.

I wish I had thought to take a pic of the monkey trying to pull it or something like that.

Sorry I went for a Cirrus joke but... c'mon. Powered parachute is WAY more high brow than pull the handle.

I was bestowed with the great honor of toting the monkey for a little while at Gaston's this weekend. He's a real happenin' cat.

Jerry was kind enough to take us up in his Robinson R44 so the monkey could get a little rotor time

A little sightseeing over Bull Shoals Lake, the dam, and the White River below. Javier had a Kung-Fu grip on the monkey with the chopper doors open.

I'm pretty ashamed that I didn't think of that either. Interestingly, when you're in such a freakin' awesome airplane, one tends to forget about the parachute thing.
