Monkey to Oshkosh and Beyond!

Wish I could be there - got a warbird thing that weekend.

Surely we can find him a ride when the time comes. I'd be willing, if he comes anywhere near central OK between now and then. If 6PC is willin', I'd bet he could make it purty interesting. How to Safely Photograph Your Monkey While Flying (a satire)?

Agreed. This silly monkey business has become a really cool thing.

Yeah, but you're way behind, dude! Come on, chop, chop, update! :)

eh, only a 'little' behind. YOU try downloading the amount of pics G-man took and tell me YOU can keep up! JK. Not sure if @G-Man had any GA routes, I have @luvflyin 's route of KPWT -> KVUO in there already, and when @EvilEagle is eventually monkey-free I'll need his routes. so, not 'way' behind. fookin-a. if I'm missing any routes from the last three Monkey Transport Specialists (see, you even get a title!), send 'em my way!

My route with the monkey was KLMT-KBOI-MWB-KAPA-KNEW. In the Eagle he went KNBG to our training airspace just south of Eglin (W151), did a training sortie there then flew back to KNBG. The second sortie he went to our closer airspace (about 75NM east of NBG) for a training sortie before recovering at KNBG.

At this rate, the monkey will fly more hours than I will this year.

@EvilEagle , do these look somewhat accurate for the 'joyrides'?

first

second

looks like these states have been added:

Washington
Oregon
Idaho
Louisiana

and holy cr@p the joyride map is getting messy!! hope to have it updated shortly....

Also, can we get picks of the monkey in the Eagle? (or is that a bad thing to post?)

hhmmm, it's not picking up MWB for some reason, I'll look into it. OR I'll get back to work, not sure which one I'm gonna do yet.

The Eagle flights were a bit further south and we use the whole airspace - but it serves the purpose. I think the first one we were as far south as N28-15 and I was as far north as you have it shown. The second flight we were in the south half (and in some airspace that's not listed on skyvector) - as far south as N28-40. Lots of small lines going everywhere. Plus a few PAR approaches on the second sortie. I tried to work on skyvector but I couldn't get it to take the points correctly so I gave up. (one day off in 14 days, I'm not doing flight planning today!)

Sorry, I meant MBW - Medicine Bow, WY. I guess I was a little lisdexic

Glad you like the pics. I can also email them directly to you.

Check the logbook, Eman!
With GA, I just took The Monkey up from KBJC for a short flight, and another short flight from KBDU. We returned to where we started.
On Commercial, I took The Monkey from Oshkosh to Appleton to Chicago to Denver, and then Denver to Seattle. None of which gets logged!

I was worried The Monkey had not flown over Colorado, and then I remembered DenverPilot gave him a pretty good tour.

I won't have the logbook until I have, well, you know.......... ;)

and the commercial flights don't technically get logged, but are no less important to the success of the mission! ESPECIALLY if you joined the mile high club.........what happens on commercial stays on commercial!

Hmmm...don't tell @brian] that!

Well, the monkey has done a lot of grass over the past 24 hours. He seemed to get all excited and keeps asking if we are going to "burn some". Must be a city thing.

The handoff happened at Gastons today and now the monkey is in central Arkansas on a little grass strip called country air. Pic shows him checking out some really good Arkansas grass. Go figure.

Sure takes that little guy a long time to push an airplane into a hangar. Might be here all night and my wife is already not happy with me.

Thought you meant "the event". Going to 'the field' is like saying
"Hey I went to Woodstock. NY. You know, last weekend".

I really think I should................

Offer on the log book still stands. Just tell me where to send it!

Didn't @EvilEagle say he was flyin up to New York next week? Any of you Damn Yankees up there ready for The Monkey?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - get that Monkey to me and I will show him a good time he won't soon forget.
