Try this one. Concentrate on the tiny black dot in the middle of that picture. In a few seconds the colors around it will fade away to almost nothing. At least until you shift your focus again.
Today I am noticing a similar phenomenon when I stare at a live view of the value of my stock portfolio.

Solution?

Quit looking, or try dollar cost averaging, a lot!

Sure would like to see the original before the grid lines were fuzzed out.

There are no grid lines on the green tree in the background.
Hmmm... And yet, if you look at the squares inside the grid, they appear gray...

Is it because the grid "takes away" (acts as a filter) the color of the background item?

You're right, the tree appears dark green with no grid.... ?
