No. You always fill the glass up, and those are the spots you're measuring as the liquid is being consumed...

But yeah, if you look at it as filling the glass only to those levels, then it's backwards.

Was going to post this in the "Superimposed Thread Title" thread or whatever it's called, but I couldn't find it... and it wasn't from here anyway. Still... saw these two headlines back to back on our local news site this morning and it tickled the ol' funny bone...
