Educators around the country have come out to condemn a 'Dismantling Racism in Mathematics' program which tells teachers not to push students to find the correct answers to math problems because doing so promotes white supremacy.
 
Why do some people think that blacks can't perform as well as whites and have to be coddled or excused?

One of the reasons I prefer teaching computer science (and math, I have 2 math degrees) at the university is that like Chem and Physics, the concepts are facts, they are the Laws of the Universe and cannot be argued. Is it valid to discuss gender, religion and amount of skin melatonin in context of the topics? Not really because they are not relevant to the material. Altho, when we do go into a bit of history, I point out that the concepts and theories and facts of math, cs, chem, and physics have been discovered/proven/disproven by a wide variety of people of gender, religion and skin melatonin (I despise the term "race").
 
Sounds like a good way to keep another generation from having it better than their parents. If I was a conspiracy theorist I might say that was the intention... if I was a conspiracy theorist.
 
My Calculus professor (who was a great teacher!) responded to a request for partial credit (because the mistake was small) by saying "Nobody will care how small the mistake was when the bridge falls down."

The real world of physics is very unforgiving.
 
So they think requiring non white students to get the correct answer is racist.
Effectively saying people of color aren’t as smart as white people.

Yeah, that’s why liberals are the most racist people on the planet, or the dumbest.
