The crane "lost" an outrigger which led to it tipping. That's the only way that accident could happen.now, Im no crane operator, but if something isn't dropping into place right, I would be lifting it back up and trying again, not hoping it suddenly pops into place...
Well i am a crane operator, and that was a dumb operator and bad set up and gross overload of that crane!!!!! The reason he couldn't pick it back up was he was out of chart and the crane started to tip over ,so to stop that he got rid off some of the weight , to put himself back in the chart. And then when he had a stupid idea of lets try this again maybe the outcome will be different , well it was but not what he wanted.now, Im no crane operator, but if something isn't dropping into place right, I would be lifting it back up and trying again, not hoping it suddenly pops into place...
I watched this one several times and i think it was a case of rigging failure or the lifting point in that aircraft gave way. And yes i do know what i am talking about as i am a crane operator as seen in my profile pic.
