DTO to LNL w/ an over nite stop on the way.
I want to do the 6Y9 fly-in weather permitting.
Intent is to leave that Friday after work. I can be wheels up around 5:30PM
Sunset shows to be a few minutes either side of 8:00 PM around the 1/2 way mark
Planning 165kts
I've not flown much further north than Southern Kansas and my preference is not to go venturing into new territory at night after an 8 hour work day (figure 45 minutes of actual work).
I am happy to land somewhere and sleep in the plane but if there are known FBOs in very safe areas somewhere along the route in the 400-450 mile range, I'd love some recommendations. Hoping to have 4-5 options in case of changing variables.
I'm a simple man so just the basics. An FBO with a couch on which I could crash. Maybe a shower.
If possible, cable TV would be nice, In scents, bath salts, nuru massage (if you don't know, don't google it), Hot coffee, cold beer, someone to feed me grapes, complimentary plane wash and oil change, some sort of meal that is a fusion of 2 countries that have fought in a battle against in one another, and that fancy Australian wine that you eat with chopsticks.
Those aren't musts but nice to haves.
Oh also, I have to have an assortment of Asian cheeses.
If any of y'all know some options en route, I'd be grateful for recommendations.
