Flying VFR into a class Charlie Int'l Airport

I think the issue is that we have several planes in the fleet that end in ND. The complaint came in on a Saturday, which is always the busiest day of the week at our airport... guessing there was confusion between some of the planes w/ATC.

"Cherokee Fife November Delta, caution similar sounding call sign on frequency." In that case, I might not abbreviate when at home. I usually say my full call sign when there's another similar one on. A fleet of student pilots and the possibility of somebody mis-hearing could go badly.
 
It only was really amusing when me (Navion 5327K) and a friend Navion 5377K both ended up IFR on about the same route one day. Talk about needing good enunciation.
