Reviving this since I completely forgot that I started it.
Jan 17th / 18th, whose in?
If it looks like folks are still interested, I will reserve a room for me and Eren for the weekend.
 
Following but I’m out of town I cannot plan this until after Christmas if it’s a go.

Hmmm. That's a kids' weekend. If I can borrow a plane and the weather's good, we'll try to come at least Saturday, I think.
 
I'd be in if my airplane wasn't such a PITA.
If I don't get some parts back next week, I don't think she'll be back together in time. I like you guys, but not enough to fly a 172 to Texas. Maybe if @kaiser gets something faster....
If by some miracle I have it back together with a couple hours on it, that might make a nice break-in flight.

Well shoot. I had something come up that weekend. Looking forward to what 26 brings
 
We're booked Fri Jan 17th and 18th.
We got a "deluxe cabin" on the runway.

She said although they don't have a dedicated fire pit, we can bring whatever form of fire we need and can gather anywhere on the grounds.
Lots of spots to group up and socialize.

This cabin was three hundred and change for 2 nights. Pay 1 night up front. If we have to cancel, 14 days out, you get that back minus a $25 fee.
Less than 2 weeks out and they will work with you to reschedule but no refund under 2 weeks.

Texoma so technically yes but you could swim to Oklahoma pretty easily if you wanted.
But why would you want to?

Strict cancellation policy? I'm interested in splitting @N4984R but they just pulled a jug during the annual on the Arrow and I might be relegated to the Skyhawk @Jim K . Between that and winter weather it's still a bit of a long shot. I suppose I'm good sleeping on the ground out front too for the camping option.
 
There should be zero concern about weather.
Cold and sunny on Friday when everyone arrives.
Much warmer on Saturday with some blue sky diamonds
Sunday when people are leaving, its much colder but sunny.
Also if you need a battery minder and some spark plugs, I know a guy.

Ditto the other northerners. My plane is fully functioning, the wings are where they belong, the tail is pointed optimally, but January in Wisconsin is what it is.

I think we are driving and flying. Right now it looks like my daughter and I will fly in Midday. My Son will drive my wife in. That way if the kids want, they can drive home if they want.

Showing clear here that weekend but down in the 60s so bring lots of extra layers. ;)

Unfortunately, my timeline for getting the airplane done was a bit optimistic. We can’t come. There is always next year, I suppose. :(
 
Looking like the Arrow is still cylinder-less so I’m swapping to a WAAS 172. Considering leaving Thursday. Time to spare, go by air and some such.
 
I sure would like to come and hang out. I don't have an air machine, a physical or a flight review, so I'll be driving for sure. :yikes:

I can't speak for everyone, but I suspect the base of my food pyramid will be beer. Upon that hearty and stable foundation I will find other items of dubious nutritional value to add, such as hot dogs, burgers or maybe chili since it's cold.

There is a restaurant on site that is really good. Has a breakfast buffet, and at night is bar and grill but my plane is in op so I can bring some burgers and brats, whatever else form the closest grocery store.
I am guessing the headcount is going to be 10-12 ish.

Chime in if you are officially in, have a cabin reserved, are committed in some form or another.
 
I hope y'all have skis on your planes - I had like a foot of snow in my backyard today and I'm south of Cedar Mills. Luckily I just saw it through the camera as I'm extending my time in Florida until the Canadian weather departs Texas lol.

I'm in provided weather cooperates and we can get there before sunset Friday. I suppose if we arrive after sunset we can land GYI. Windy is showing like it'll work.
