One of my friends was asking, I've never heard of one but if it exists I imagine someone here knows about it.

Like LiveATC, but for AWOS?
Or like a numbers station, but reading METAR text?

Anyway, shouldn't be too hard to gin up. The hardest part will be coming up with a voice that sounds like the NOAA weather radio DECtalk...

I'm not aware of any live stream but if you use the Aeroweather app you can have SIRI read the forecast to you (you have to set that up) or swipe right on any listed airport and there is an option to have an old codger read the forecast for you ...

FWIW

It’s not live-streaming per se and I don’t know how widespread it is, but most fields with ASOS/AWOS etc that I have looked for have a phone number you can call. It reads the current observations same as if you dialed it up on the radio in the plane. The Aero Weather app on the iPhone lists it by selecting the airfield, clicking on the Location tab at the bottom and then scrolling to the communications section. Here is an example:

The Air Nav website (https://www.airnav.com/) also lists them under the communications section of the airfield.

That’s what I use to get more current weather when I don’t have the patience to wait for the METAR update.

I like Windy.com . Click the "Airport"(airplane icon) feature and click on the airport you're looking for.

Are they suicidal? Wanting to listen to hours of something like the same asos again and again or even different ones? I would off myself. The cartels should never learn of this torture method. I think there is a hotline available for your friend, btw.

I'm still confused about what's being asked here. The OP is asking for this?
Or this?

As a host of our local LiveATC feed, I never even considered anybody would WANT to listen to the AWOS/ASOS remotely, especially since you can accomplish that by just calling it on the phone anyway. And I just checked, LiveATC even archives the recordings just like any other feed! Ugh. Talk about painful to listen to.

An ATIS I can understand a little, since I don't think you can generally call them, so at least there's some benefit to streaming it.

Oh no doubt. Especially the robot ATIS like @asicer linked to. I hate it enough when actually flying, listening to it on repeat would be a sure way to, let's just say, lose my medical.

I suppose if it's important to you, one can nail down to the exact minute the winds went from 13003 to 32019G55
