Great day of flying Saturday. Up to PWM for the Toys for Tots fly in. Met some of the PWM controllers and got a tour of tower and radar room. Then up to BHB for lunch. Love flying up the coast of Maine.

Those were my hometown hills and hollers, and my people. Until I moved away about 15 years ago. Going back this weekend for a Christmas gathering.

Lots of pretty blue sky pictures here, but sometimes flying on marginal days can provide more dramatic images. These shots were taken in NW Washington State on 12/18. They include the Swinomish Channel/La Conner and a shot looking at spots of sun hitting Port Susan

Borrowed a 7AC Champ from my hangar neighbor and buzzed around admiring the splendor this evening.

At the homefield yesterday and watched this guy land for fuel and blades during some power line trimming.



Had never seen one up close. The guy said the engine is equivalent to a Zero Turn machine.
The Boston Terrier was the most energetic thing I've ever seen that wasn't on crack (assuming).




That's gotta take some concentration and skill.



Wanted to ask if he would 'swing by' the exe's house.
But that's not near enough blades to satisfy me..

OMG. To see paint that messed up and faded on a G1000 aircraft is making me feel really old.

It at least looks like a 2004-2006 model. Must not be hangared?
