Got complex endorsed in a Piper Lance back in May, since then I’ve accumulated almost 40 hours in retracts, with a majority of that time in the Arrow. I’m interested in also trying out the Cherokee Six and wondering if there are any options in FL.

It might help to narrow down where in Florida you are looking to rent. For example, if you're going to be in Pensacola and someone suggests Miami which are a 10hr drive apart- see the problem?

I'm old. Those things used to be $140/hr.
Welp - a Warrior was $35 wet when I started flying. They’re $167/hr now at the same place as the Duchess. Hard to justify just buzzing around for most young people these days, I’m sure. Then again, even $35/hr was a “negotiation” with SWMBO at the time.

I once belonged to a club that rented a PA-32-300 for $45/hour; wet. The Arrow was $40/hour, wet Archer $35/hour. Starting to feel the years.....

I can't offer any leads to the OP. Though I will add that as you step up the ladder from a 172 or even a PA-28R, to a more capable aircraft, you're less likely to find a rental in the conventional sense of being open and available to all transients with a perfunctory checkout flight and a checkbook that clears. You're more likely to find success in a longer-term relationship, like a partnership or club arrangement*. Those are admittedly harder to locate, and more likely to do so by word of mouth.

* This is not to say that Mr. $500/hr Saratoga is the answer. Whenever I see a base rate alongside a "club" rate, I think that's not so much a "club" as most GenAv pilots consider it, but more like you grease the bouncer a C-note and you're suddenly "In 'da CLUB!" Especially given that price point. Read "club" as "block time". 250 min or 25 in type? Sounds like he's trying to hit the open pilot clause in his insurance without spending for a rental policy.

and yeah, rental rates got stupid somewhere around 1999-2000 in my experience anyway, and have climbed a lot since then.
When I started a 152 rented for somewhere around $35 as I recall, and I think the 172 was somewhere around $42 or $45.

$35 then would be about $87 today based on a google search for "purchasing power"

I really do wish that I'd kept some of the paperwork from the school...my receipts or something. I really have no memory of what they charged for the C-177RG, the Aeronca Champ, the M20, or the PA-23-150
