What is C?Because there are times when a glider needs to fly at or near its max C/L, which is getting close to the critical AOA. The problem with canards is they are inherently designed to keep the main wing reasonably far from the critical AOA to avoid a stall (or worse, a deep stall), and you can't approach the main wing's max C/L.
Meaning you give up low speed performance or you build a bigger wing.
