AOA vs Airspeed

Well you are preaching to the choir on that, but until the FAA stops using the term stall speed, until every flight manual is changed, and until every instructor stops saying stall speed, every airplane stops using asi markings as such and has an AOA installed I think we are doing new pilots a disservice to say the asi is not lying when it comes to stall indications.

It's not lying. It's a speed where a stall occurs at a given set of circumstances. It's better than having nothing listed in the POH.

The book speed should never be looked at as a precise indication of a stall during all conditions. Every pilot should already know those factors and be prepared to adjust that speed accordingly. That, along with pending stall devices (horn/light) SHOULD be enough.
