I don't get out to the North much being based in the DMV area, really only been as far as MDT and RDG. was wondering if people had any go-to's in Pennsylvania that are good for a day trip or 2.

Welcome to PoA! Where in the DMV?

Some favorites from memory:
Smoketown S37
Lancaster LNS
Keller Bros. 08N
Sky Acres 44N
Kingston 20N

Been meaning to go to Sunbury, Grimes...

Right now im based out of FDK. LNS im familiar with, the rest are going on the List for sure!

Your area of interest puts you pretty close to the Hudson River Corridor/Skyline Route.

If you haven’t already flown it, you should.

Grimes is cool. You can fly into Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome (southeast NY) if you call for permission first, and not during the show. Cherry Ridge (N30) is a nice little field with a restaurant. Keller is a beautiful grass strip, as is Farmers Pride (9N7). Of these, only Rhinebeck might be considered "challenging", depending on what you fly.

Honesdale is a cute town. I was going to stop by N30 last summer, but it looked like the restaurant had closed... but now it's open again?

Gettysburg is a good one, and you can call ahead to get a crew car and visit the area.

N27 Towanda PA. One restaurant you can walk to (across runway from ramp). Courtesy cars and a number of good places nearby.

CHEAP gas. :D Today $5.05
