    Engine Monitor Upgrade

I'd leave it as is. Use money to buy fuel and fly more. O-470 is a simple engine and changing fuel lines and adding fuel flow doesn't do much for me. Get another 100 hours you'll know what the engine flows. Simple plane keep it simple.

Abnormal vs "Is something wrong" (for those who aren't seasoned pilots or mechanics)

Had an exhaust elbo fall off shortly after an annual while taxing. Sounded weird and probably would’ve called off TO at full throttle. Taxed back and found elbo in bottom of cowling. No big deal. You simply can’t let things get to you and forget to fly the aircraft. Flight 401 comes to mind.

    Auburn Flight

A bachelor degree in aviation will get you a restricted atp at 1000 hours I believe. Auburn is not cheap and at 23 your behind already. Pick a Florida 141 school, Florida has a ton of them and get going. Maybe keep your day job and fly afternoons and weekends.

Part 61 training in Stuart, Florida

My son makes a couple of touch and goes at Stuart that has a 3 landings max then off to F45, OBE, PHK or FPR. Lots of runways close by. This Vector company and landing fees bother me. Deland airport manager says if nearby airports implement landing fees he has too also. Could see this happening...

How can we "encourage" AOPA to do better?

Yes that Vector fee company is something SunPass of the sky’s. Just the whole corridor from me SUA to north of DAB the sky’s infested lol, with Skyhawks and Cherokee’s flight training. One airport manager calls the busy pattern “Pattern Saturation “ and to be restricted by landing fee’. ADSB of...

How can we "encourage" AOPA to do better?

Supported aopa for years but when an airport issue came up they could care less or weren’t willing to ruffle the politicians feathers. I will say aopa probably didn’t have a million dollar suit allowance though.
