    Time for an Engine Monitor?

Our Arrow II likes to sit pretty right about 7 qts of oil (8 is max). We don't add any until it dips below 6, otherwise as mentioned above it just gets blown out on the belly. It takes us about 8 to 10 hours to burn through a quart.

New AI installed; is this too much wobble on start-up?

Wow, in the beginning I thought it looked similar to what I saw in the arrow the other day. But then it kept going and it definitely doesn't seem like it should be normal. I think in my situation it was aost completely spun down when I started back up and it wobbled a little. Sent from my...

Cirrus makes emergency landing on Highway

Only on POA can we bash a cirrus pilot for pulling the chute.... and bash (harsh word for what is going on in this thread, but none the less) a cirrus pilot for NOT pulling the chute... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

    Aircraft ownership.

How quick are you going to work through the extra ratings? I believe they are starting the process go remove the complex time from the commercial requirement. Granted it will still probably be a few years, but it might be something you want to consider. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

    To Commercial and beyond!

Forgot to add, while filling up with fuel got to meet two guys who served in Vietnam, and we're flying in a Mooney Mustang! (Wasn't anyone here was it? Lol) Interesting plane! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

Flew my long cross country for my commercial rating yesterday (details in my 'to Commercial and beyond' thread in the pilot training forum). Taken at RDU Sunset on the way home Tried to get a cool picture of the 'super moon' but stupid cellphone camera and windows didn't cooperate.

    To Commercial and beyond!

Did my long cross country (250 nm) yesterday! Flew down to Harnett (KHRJ), filled up with $3.50/gal. Fuel, then flew to Raleigh (KRDU), and then home. Thought about filing ifr just to work in the system but I got leaving home a little later in the morning than I wanted to. Got to meet my sister...

So wait, did you guys both land and he locked his brakes up to get stopped, or did he do a go around and blew the tire on the second attempt?

Welp flew yesterday on my own for about 1.5 Practiced some power off landings (and evasive maneuvers for stupid birds who thought it was a good idea to hang out at the departure end of the runway.... I went back to the home field after that) Went up today with my instructor to do chandelles...

Is it fun to fly a Cirrus?

I was going to say about how your charts were in mph not kts, but then saw the upper limit of the power band will net close to 230 which should be around 200kts if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry I just now saw this. Absolutely the cfi is just a formality. However I am also a firm believer in teaching things right the first time that way you don't have to go back and re-teach it. That's why I'll meet with the instructor for a few hours in the beginning. I'm 'teaching' him how I...

    To Commercial and beyond!

So yesterday was my first lesson. We put a total of 4.2 in my logbook between two different flights. Found a few areas I'm week on the ground that I need to brush up on. In the air, we did steep turns, steep spirals to power off 180's, normal power off 180's, short field and soft field take...

    To Commercial and beyond!

Welp, thought that I might as well start my own thread like denverpilot did. My plan is to get my Commercial, CFI, and CFII by the end of January. Hopefully I can schedule the commercial ride before Christmas, and finish up the CFI's after. Some background: I got my PPL back in 2014, Instrument...

It varies from farm to farm, but one of the owners of this is the football coach so they design the picture on the computer, plant the field (every which way) , and then once the corn pops up a few inches the team goes through and pulls out the corn according to the computer grid.
