Daily Pic

Watched him taxi out a few hours ago and even the guys who handled it at the other FBO sat out and watched him take off. Probably 50-60° climb angle. Man that thing can move!

Must not be enough lawyers at your airline. I thought they all stopped giving out peanuts long ago for fear one of the folks with deadly allergies to the dust might walk on board.
 
Went to John Wayne this past weekend. Somebody clowning, had changed the name of the airport to John Wayne Gacy airport on Inatagram... I thought that was funny

They land in that fog in Fresno. Cat 3 approaches. Fog all the way to the ground. Not sure if Modesto has a Cat 3 or not.

No cat approaches. 200 and half mile. Take off in the fog, you aren't going back. The river right next to the field doesn't help anything
 
Yeah, you sit around and wait until you can get a special VFR clearance. Then overfly the valley totally fogged out.

I took off through it. I don't want to get into a legal.safe.stupid conversation but I did. Ended up not being able to land at home so I got my karma for not waiting for the fog to clear.
 
One thing about California. The inland valley typically has fog in the winter and the coast is typically clear. Vice versa in the summer.... Not always of course.

Wow I am so offended by your lack of tolerance for peanut allergies. Please send one puppy, one tub of Play-Doh, and one coloring book to ease my pain.

Finally got into the air after some low ceilings and icing in Michigan... Flew four cats from Niagara Falls (KIAG) to Flint (KFNT). The picture was taken on the flight from Detroit to KIAG.

Returning from Catalina Island, we had a good view at Palm Springs International Airport (KPSP):

After a few days in the warm and sunny California, the poor Mooney was back to reality and was sitting on the ramp during a snow storm at Page Airport in Arizona :yikes::yikes::smilewinkgrin:

About 145kts true up at FL200. 100kts indicated. At 8000 it will run 165kts and 11000 about 160kts, but the cool thing is even though the speed falls off pretty fast at FL200, it's doing 145kts true on 6.5gph up that high and that's almost 26 statute mpg!

We did our first PNP flight for this year. Two dogs needed a flight from Battle Creek (KBTL) to Pittsburgh (KAGC). We got a nice treat and were vectored over Pittsburgh Downtown... :)
