    PA28-140

Going on 18 years of ownership of a 1967 140. Does everything I want, but 15 more knots in airspeed would be nice! Safe, forgiving and easy to fly. Reasonable load and interior room, particularly with the rear seats removed. Lots of mechanics are familiar and parts easy to find. Biggest plus...

Turn signal/hazard relay? Just solder the wires to the relay? Would need to find the wiring skematic to know what wires go where. https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/turn-signal-flasher

Looking for a good mechanic - Eastern PA

Two possibilities, not too far away. Alan Wold at Quakertown (215 536 9463). One man band, so scheduling is sometimes an issue, good to work with, decent pricing. Phil Babb/Joe Flury at P-Factor, Pennridge (215 258 0777). Known Joe for lots of years, does good work and has a LOT of practical...

    Where'd my IOS go?

Did the 11.0.3 upgrade to a iPad Mini 4. No issues that I can tell. Haven’t done the iPhones yet, they are both 5s models so I may wait a bit.

    Compass Recommendations Cherokee 140

Also recommend the SIRS compass. Small, but easy to calibrate and read. Internal lighting is just right.

    Home Water Pressure

Couple of thoughts before you embark on the expenditures for a new water line or booster pump. You mention that you get 65psi. Is that pressure right where the water line enters the house? Can you measure the size of the line from the main and the material of construction? 65psi should be...

    Ah, Electricity

Chip is correct. Residential transfer switches are designed to isolate individual circuits not an entire panel. It is a function of the loads you want to run while using the generator. There are a number of guides to indicate the load each device will draw or you can calculate using volts X...

    Calling All Cherokee 140 owners/flyers!

It can be a bit pricy... but, if you need major exhaust work, it is worth it (IMHO). They do run some sales every once in a while. Far superior system, quality materials and safer.

    Calling All Cherokee 140 owners/flyers!

Generally see +/-105kts TAS at 2450 RPM, 3500 feet, standard temp/pressure. Pretty consistent.

    20% Wall Tax

Just to clarify, if the Mexican VAT is an internal, nationwide tax, it isn't part of NAFTA? If it isn't part of NAFTA, I'm still looking for that reason that NAFTA is so unfair to the US. Understand your point of the US capital advantage verses the Mexican labor cost advantage.

    20% Wall Tax

Not a trade expert... so... what is a good example of an unfair trade issue (understand the social problems) that we have with Mexico. If they do exist, would seem a logical point to start from. US business has invested a lot of capital in Mexico, they obviously believed they would receive a...

    Least Expensive ADS-B Out System

LOL! Didn't have the HP-35 but did have the HP-45 during my college years, yep it was QUITE pricy for the times, a gift from my uncle. Survived all these years and I still use it on a daily basis. No longer works off of batteries, only the plug in cord. Survived all manner of abuse, getting...

    Learning the "old way"

Not at all. My initial instructor was pretty adamant that you shouldn't be in the cockpit if you couldn't fly with a map in your lap, eyes out the window, a compass and a clock. There are probably a few here who can remember the good old Narco Superhomer!
