Personally, I thought it was fun doing all the flight planning, playing with charts and stuff. If I wasn't out flying, at least I was doing "pilot stuff." I can't believe you'd quit training just because you found the flight planning boring and friends said you'd never use it ......:dunno...

It's great that they're doing that. The Connie, IMHO, is the most beautiful transport ever made, and one of the top five most beautiful aircraft ever. Must be grindingly expensive to fly those babies, though.....:eek:

Great idea. I like the concept a lot - twin diesels in a bigger plane? Great. However, it looks to me that the only way that airframe is going to seat 7 is with 2-3-2 seating, and the only way you get those last 2 is by making them mickey mouse seats. Doesn't look like they'll have headroom...

Depends on the value you receive. I know a few CFIs who would be a bargain at twice that rate. I have had the misfortune of flying with one or two who weren't worth $0.80/hr, let alone $80. Price is not the same thing as value. Think about it.......:wink2:
