    You are just Mode S. The ES is just additional data that is transmitted as part of the Mode S reply. That is what is left off if you disable the ADS-B.

    I hate to bust your bubble, but Mode S is NOT anonymous. You are supposed to enter your ICAO code into the box as part of the config. If you had an old Mode C only transponder then you could be anonymous as that transmission does not include the ICAO address...
