We pilots love them numbers--better speed, better payload, better capability, 4 negative G aerobatic capability, etc.
It doesn't impress non-flying spouses, in general. Here's what does: comfort, convenience, specific mission capability (and -perhaps- the fact that the husband/wife has the special skill of being a pilot.)
It doesn't mean, though, they don't get all the different ways we get excited about flying. Just know where they stand, and proceed thusly, in that manner.
