Why do so many people say "rudders"?

How many aircraft actually only have one occupant, when the pilot is reporting to the controller as "we" or "us"?
"We are leaving 9 thousand for 5000"
"We have the field in sight"
"If you can let us deviate 10 right, that would be appreciated"
Liars. All of them.
False Over-numeration Police will cuff and book them on the tarmac...er ramp...after their next landing lol

I’m still waiting for Mark to show up and say y’all misheard and the word doesn’t have an “r” on the front. LOL LOL LOL.

I know I know. Ain’t happening here at PC Central Station. Ha.

"Directional control effector deflected by foot-operated inceptors."

Nauga,
who eschews obfuscation

Kinda bugs me. Sometimes used to stop direction change. At least from the perspective of the cockpit. LOL.

Well the ground too, actually.

Those smart kids flying all knife edge and stuff at those fancy airshow thingies seem to like using them to hold the nose up against gravity to make sure they don’t smite themselves into the “tarmac”.

They’re affecting the direction of a bunch of highly inconvenienced air molecules but making sure the airplane does NOT change direction. :)

Tarmac: It's made out of concrete, not tar or asphalt.

Ramp: It's a wide flat surface, not a single lane road leading to an interstate or jumping over something.

RNAV: I'm not randomly wondering around the sky, I'm actually going more direct

Cockpit: I'm not sitting in a hole in the ground with a male chicken

I'm wondering why you aren't randomly wandering around the sky.

A friend of mine named his dog Rudder....but there's only one of them so he doesn't make it plural. o_O

I've caught myself calling out "THIS IS Tiger 1569 Romeo....." Not sure how I picked that up, but my CFI pointed it out with a smile on her face.

My instructor would always say on take off roll, "Right rudder! Right Rudder!" I was always confused because the plane only had one.

Cows may come and cows may go but on here the bull goes on forever!:)
