You find flying related things to do. Made these chocks for my plane yesterday and today. A CNC and some resin will make you look like an expert woodworker even when you aren't.

Oddly enough, they were invented to build aircraft and helicopter parts.

Otherwise I spent a couple hours with the shovel after lunch to clear off the back porch and sidewalk to the garage, only to get dumped on again later this evening. I hope the sun comes out tomorrow.

I think that I have the perfect answer. About 12 years ago I was at the Commander factory doing an owner assisted annual, it was not completed by weekend and I was stuck at the motel for Saturday and Sunday with nothing to do.

I sat by the pool and went through my POH page by page and word by word. I was determined to understand every word and sentence it contained. I made many notes and notations .

Monday morning back at the factory armed with my notes I started asking questions and getting very good answers. I was about a 1000 hour pilot at that time and was amazed at how much I did not know, I do remember that one of my questions was about %MAC and the company test pilot explaining it to me.

We never stop learning in aviation.

Life is a barrel of fun.
