Wall off Canada, eh?

Very true. I have friends in Ontario. The Canadians have allowed themselves to be taxed to death.

And that is where we are going, or have already gone.

Our medical ain't free. Our income taxes are much higher than yours to cover health care, which tends to eat around 50% of the total spending in this country.

I bet you a zillion dollars that's not true. One zillion dollars. edit: Canada's GDP is 1.8 trillion CAD, healthcare spending is in the neighborhood of $211 billion. That's 11%.

The U.S. spends twice as much per capita on health care as Canada:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_the_health_care_systems_in_Canada_and_the_United_States

A recent study found that the cost per family per year for health care, paid through taxation, was around $12,000.
Can you cite the study?

Complete and utter BS.
Actually it's 100% true.

Texas State Guard ordered to monitor military’s Operation Jade Helm 15

Two months after news surfaced that U.S. Special Operations troops will launch a broad training operation in several southwestern states this summer, the Texas state government is registering new concerns: Gov. Greg Abbott called Tuesday for the Texas State Guard to monitor the mission.
Abbott, a Republican, said in a letter to Maj. Gen. Gerald “Jake” Betty that he wants monitoring of Operation Jade Helm 15 “to address concerns of Texas citizens and to ensure that Texas communities remain safe, secure and informed occurring in their vicinity.” It marks the first time that a state governor has responded to outrage from those who fear the training exercise isn’t what the military promises.
[Why Operation Jade Helm 15 is freaking out the Internet — and why it shouldn’t be]
“During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed,” Abbott wrote. “By monitoring the Operation on a continual basis, the State Guard will facilitate communication between my office and commanders of the Operation to ensure that adequate measures are in place to protect Texans.”
The State Guard falls under the command of the Texas National Guard and the governor, and is focused on providing support to local authorities in times of crisis. It is considered an organized, legal state militia.

Is it? I didn't see anything talking about people worried about being rounded up and put into an abandoned Walmart.

The conspiracy theories are amazing.

You wouldn't think anybody would care much about walmart closing a store. But the closure in Midland TX actually is interesting.

Walmart closed the store abruptly one afternoon, not to reopen for six months because of plumbing problems, they said. Employees were laid off.

You might ask why does it take six months to fix the plumbing in a store? Surely it doesn't have much plumbing anyway.

A lot of people say that union organizing was going on. And that's why Walmart closed it abruptly, for as long as they did. Long enough that the unionizers would move on.

Would Walmart do that -- no matter the cost, shut down part of the.business to prevent any unions? And make up a fib? It sounds believable to me.

Beyond that, there are indeed some crazy conspiracy theories, all for a simple store closure. Scopes has a nice summary.
