A guy I work with was in China and took a picture of the menu at a place he stopped for dinner. On one page was picture of an item - we think it was dog, but might have been cat. After it had been skinned and fried it was hard to tell. I have that picture somewhere, but might take a while to find it.

I know that one of my favorite chinese restaurants back in the 80's got shut down when the health dept was tipped off that there were a lot of cat carcasses in the dumpster. We were a little disappointed because it was one of our favorite chinese restaurants and the beef dishes always seemed so much better than other restaurants we'd been to.
So when asked if I like cats I always replay that I do if they're prepared properly.

As an elementary school kid in the late 60's we were fed horsemeat and couldn't tell the difference between horse and cow....

Lots of odd food preferences around the world.
