United Leggings

My father was an attorney all his life and hence wore a suit every day. He was also chairman of the board of the Close Up foundation. He managed to wrangle me a spot in the program (I tacked on to a San Franciso high school). Years later when the founder/executive director retired, both my father and I got invited to the reception. My father noted to me that the function was "Business Attire." An hour later a second message said "That's lawyer business attire, not software engineer business attire."

Two things that I don't like: Sales people in shorts and or t-shirts, and wait units that sit in a chair at my table to take our order.

I am Ok with polo style shirts and slacks in the summer, but company polo style shirts with company logo just makes that person look like a truck driver. ( and nothing against truck drivers)

When I walk into a business I expect the people to look professional, not like ditch diggers. (unless I walk into a ditch digger supply store) Even when I was a truck mechanic I kept my shirttail tucked in and my hair combed. And there is no way to keep clean when working on a Detroit....

Appearance does make a difference.

LOL. The dude on the left is now a millionaire motivational speaker, the middle dude is running the campaign of Pedro for President, and the one on the right found true love and travels the world teaching marriage techniques. Hahahaha.
