I've been avoiding buying air compressor because it will inevitably lead to the briar patch of building an airplane.Get a touch up gun from Harbor Freight and borrow an air compressor. Then you can use 2K paint and proper primer.
So make sure you buy a 5 hp compressor with an 80 gallon tank. Then you can run a blast cabinet.I've been avoiding buying air compressor because it will inevitably lead to the briar patch of building an airplane.

Please elaborate as I own an air compressor and have a lot of mineral spirits.Yep, buying an air compressor is a major step down the path from plane owner to DIY guy.
My favorite use is spray washing the engine with mineral spirits, which I do at every oil change.

THIS ^^^^ paints have different solvents and they don't all get along. Example: never apply lacquer or butyl dope over enamel, trust me on thisFYI: make sure the paint you buy is compatible with the original paint.
I am buying that!
Just drop the tube in a jug of spirits and hose away. Gets all the oil and grime out of every nook and cranny in the engine compartment. Really helps to detect oil seepage before it becomes a more significant leak.
